Recently, cosmetics company Ayr Skin Care, which sells creams, soaps, lotions, and oils has completely reformulated all their products to be vegan and cruelty-free!

They aren’t just offering select vegan products, but they dedicated plenty of time and resources to making such a great change. Vice President of marketing and operations, Fiona Briggs said, “The reformulating of our entire line was a difficult and time-consuming task, but it was a labor of love. We had to search and pay more for natural and organic ingredients that are better for our skin, better for our bodies, better for our souls, and better for our planet.”

Although their products were mostly free of animal products, they replaced beeswax with plant-based Candelilla wax and honey with beet sugars. They also replaced silk protein with Jojoba protein. They also replaced other technically vegan ingredients with even better, healthier plant-based ingredients.

This is exciting news not just for those are interested in this company’s products, but for other cosmetics companies. It shows that it can be done. Animal products and animal testing are not necessary and can indeed be eliminated!
